Entry Eligibility  &  Acceptance

Open to all golfers age 25 and older as of August 2, 2026 who have a USGA handicap index of 3.0 or less and are members at an established club.

Applications for play will begin on March 1 at 10:00 a.m. Teams can apply to play by providing information for both partners, including handicap index, club affiliation, and a brief golfing resume.

Application period will close on April 15 at 6:00 p.m. at which time the committee will begin reviewing applications.

Invitations will be sent out to teams selected to play on or before April 30. At this time teams will be required to complete registration, including payment to secure a spot in the field.

Field will be limited to 48 teams.

Tournament Schedule

Sunday, August 2nd-
Practice rounds available starting at 10:00 a.m.  All players wishing to play a practice round must tee off by 2:30 p.m. to allow time for the golf course to be prepared for tournament play.  Practice round fees are included in the entry fee.
6:30 p.m - Tournament Dinner - All participants are encouraged to to attend.  Last year's champions will be honored and will be selecting our menu. Dress code is golf casual, pants encouraged.

Monday, August 3rd-
7:00 a.m. - Breakfast service begins
8:30 a.m. - Round 1 (shotgun start)
1:00-2:00 p.m. - Lunch
2:15 p.m. - Round 2 (shotgun start)
Casual dinner to follow play

Tuesday, August 4th-
7:00 a.m. - Breakfast service begins
8:30 a.m. - Round 3 (shotgun start) Lunch to follow play
All reasonable efforts will be made to complete 54 holes, but in the event of inclement weather play will not continue past 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Please note that entry fee will include tee gift, dinner on Sunday, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Monday, breakfast and lunch on Tuesday, and drinks (beer included) for Sunday thru Tuesday.

Transportation

Players are required to take a cart for pace of play purposes. Carts are included in the entry fee for tournament and practice rounds.

Clubhouse Facilities

Clubhouse and practice facilities at Sunnehanna CC will open daily at 7:00 a.m. and will be available to players for the duration of the event. Lockers will be provided to players. Please be aware that the driving range is approximately a five minute cart drive each way from the clubhouse.  Please plan accordingly. The driving range will close at 6:00 p.m. each day for maintenance.

Tournament Dinner

Dinner will be provided inside the clubhouse on Sunday, August 2nd at 6:30 p.m.  Attendance is strongly encouraged.  Dress code is golf attire, pants requested.  We will honor our 2025 champions Brad Mason and Drew Evans, and they will choose the menu for the evening.

Withdrawal and No Show Policy

If you find you cannot compete in the Championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Tournament Chairman, Derek Hayes at (814) 244-1298 or email at derekhayes@gmail.com. If you do not officially withdraw, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future Sunnehanna National Four Ball Championships. Any player withdrawing prior to Monday, July 20 at 6:00 p.m. EST will receive a full refund, less a $25 administrative fee. Any withdrawals after the July 20 deadline will not be entitled to receive a refund, unless a spot is filled by an alternate team on the waitlist.
